Join Us in Summer 2019
Apply by MARCH 15
Applications are invited via the online platform Acceptd. We're excited to get to know you! Prior training and/or experience in theater or Shakespeare is not a requirement. Rather, we look for evidence of a desire to create, a strong imagination, and readiness to jump in, contribute, and take risks as part of a collaborative ensemble.
A series of written responses will ask you to speak to your interest in—and any experiences with—ensemble, Shakespeare, and belief. You will also be asked to upload a resume, current photo, and short video submission. Finally, you will be asked to supply us with a letter of recommendation and/or the contact information of an instructor or professional willing to serve as a reference for you. Once we review your application, we may contact you to schedule an interview. Please note there is a $30 fee to apply. If the application fee presents a substantial restriction to your ability to apply, please email us for consideration for a fee waiver.

To secure your place in the program, a $250 deposit must be paid within two weeks of the time we notify you of your acceptance. This deposit will be applied towards your tuition. Your second deposit of $1500 is due May 15, 2019 and the remaining balance on June 15, 2019.
HOUSING & LIVING DETAILS
Most of our students have traveled to us from around the country and internationally, and have enjoyed living together in two houses, both walking distance from the Academy. One is a home-stay arrangement with the Rooney family of the Mighty Quinn Foundation, and the other house is a residence for students only. You will share a bedroom and will be responsible for cooking your meals or, if applicable, making arrangements with your host family. We plan regular group outings to the grocery store, and the SA@S staff is available to help arrange rides around town. We encourage you to bring a vehicle or bike if you'd like your own transportation to run errands or explore the local area during your free time.
QUINN ROONEY SHAKESPEARE SCHOLARSHIP
The Quinn Rooney Shakespeare Scholarship is a need-based tuition scholarship awarded by the Mighty Quinn Foundation. Applicants for the scholarship should complete the optional scholarship section of the program application, which will ask for written responses and a statement of financial need.
We're happy to help however we can! Send us an email—we are always available to answer questions about the program and admissions process.
